Meet your therapist.

Tonya Lundahl, LCSW

Owner & Therapist

Are you unhappy, but can’t seem to pinpoint the cause? Have you lost your true self in a difficult relationship? Is your anxiety or depression getting the better of you? Are you drinking more than normal? Feeling disconnected from yourself and isolated from people who support you? Sometimes when people are unhappy, they search within, assuming something is “wrong” with them. I can help you explore your inner and outer world. We’ll examine your core beliefs, motivations, relationships, and most importantly, what you are and are not responsible for; let’s look at the situations you're experiencing and figure it out together.

I can help you reconnect with yourself and find peace. I specialize in understanding the subtleties of emotionally abusive relationships, including narcissistic abuse. I will support you, validate you, and help you to strengthen your powers of healthy discernment. I can help you gain clarity in your life so you can make choices that serve you.

I personalize my therapy methods depending on your goals. I use cognitive behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, inner child work, EMDR, and more. Finding the right therapist is arguably the most important part of therapy; don’t compromise on it. Please fill out my client intake form to see if we are a good fit.

  • I am not LDS, but I grew up in “the church.” I chose to leave long ago as I no longer align with the teachings of the LDS church. That said, I harbor no ill will toward the church or its members and I do work with clients who identify as current members. Most clients who feel aligned with me are not members, and I have also helped many who are healing from the emotional wounds left by feeling shamed by church teachings.

  • I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (with a minor in Spanish) and my Master of Social Work from Utah State University.

  • Yes, this has become somewhat of an “accidental” specialty of mine. I find it deeply fulfilling to help people reclaim their sense of self after enduring emotional and psychological abuse, especially the kind that leaves them feeling disassembled emotionally.

  • No, I haven’t. I’ve lived in several other states including Florida, Montana, Alaska, Idaho, and Wyoming. I’ve also spent shorter periods living and studying abroad in Mexico and Chile.
